Learn more about the process, the options, and the investment!

Based in Dallas, TX, but I travel everywhere.

Unique. Timeless. Entertaining. Live wedding painting is all three. Your wedding and your love story are true works of art. Capture them in an elegant and ageless way.

I offer multiple packages based on the size of the canvas used. All paintings are done in oil paint on archival canvas. If you are interested in a different medium, such as watercolor or charcoal, feel free to reach out!

Live Wedding Painting

A painting of a bride and groom sharing a kiss outdoors, with green trees in the background. The bride wears a lace wedding dress with a long train and a veil, while the groom wears a light-colored suit. There are flowers at the base and butterflies near the ground, with some white petals falling.

The Game Plan

Every wedding painting starts with a consultation call. This is a chance for you to ask questions, get to know me a little bit, and discuss your vision for the painting. We’ll also go over the contract and all that good stuff.

Don’t know what moment you want painted? Check out this blog post where I walk you through deciding!

1.

The Check In

A few weeks before your wedding, I’ll follow up to confirm the details of your wedding painting. This is a chance to let me know if anything has changed, and to make sure we are still on the same page.

2.

The Big Day

Your wedding day is the big day! I arrive at the venue several hours before the ceremony to set up my easel, mix my colors, and start the background. I capture the previously discussed moment with a high-quality camera to use as a reference. I stay at the wedding, painting, until the end of the reception.

The Final Touches

After the wedding, I take the painting home with me. I’ll spend around 20 hours over the next several weeks touching up the painting and making it perfect. After it’s done, I will carefully ship the painting to wherever you want it to go!

Am I the right fit for your wedding?

A little about my art style

I work in oil paints using classical techniques. My work is realistic, but not photographic. It’s important to me that the people in my paintings are recognizable: in fact, I adore doing portraits. It’s one of my favorite parts of the painting! I am meticulous as an artist. As an atelier-trained artist, I spend a lot of time on each painting, meaning it will not be finished at the end of the night. It’s so important to me that each painting is representative of the best of my ability. Some of my favorite artists include John Singer Sargent, Caravaggio, and Joaquin Sorolla.

A little about my personality

I am no tortured starving artist. I love people, I love weddings, and I love art. I am always happy to chat with guests and answer any questions anyone has! It’s also highly likely you will catch me dancing while painting (I just can’t help it). It’s a skill I’ve mastered over the years.

  • DO IT!! We went back and forth on having a live painter and we are so happy we did it! Our guests are still talking about the experience and seeing the transition of her painting. Also Amelia was so amazing chatting and interacting with our guests!! It’s also such a special moment we have captured in a beautiful pointing. LOVE!

  • Amelia did a painting from our wedding capturing our love and joy while dancing. She is enormously talented and has a great eye for identifying the moment that captures our love in a way that I’ve never really seen in any other artist. Her painting shows movement and energy, our gazes, and our joy in the moment. I cannot recommend her more strongly! Let this precious artist capture your special moment for you! You’ll never regret it!
